
After graduating with the highest distinction from Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Lesniewski earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. His surgical internship, residency and chief residency were performed at Pennsylvania Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Health System. During his residency, he completed a post-graduate research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and received the Richard K. Gadon Memorial Award of Humanism in Surgery two years in a row as well as the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award.
Dr. Lesniewski moved to the Northern Virginia area to join Surgical Specialists of Northern Virginia and the medical staff of Inova Loudoun Hospital for the treatment of all general surgical, vascular and thoracic diseases and conditions.
A committed, patient-focused practitioner, he has built a solid reputation as one of the area’s finest laparoscopic surgeons. In addition to busy clinical practice, Dr. Lesniewski has dedicated significant time to administrative duties for Inova Loudoun Hospital by serving as Chief of the Department of Surgery, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the Loudoun Ambulatory Surgery Care and a member of the Medical Executive and Credentialing Committees. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
